Since the first time I watched this movie, back in September ’08, I’ve related several life lessons to the power of the human spirit.  Where there’s a will, there’s a way.  There is more to life than increasing its speed.  Dost thou love life?  Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.  Grow old with me, the best is yet to be…

The beauty of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is the fact that it is not just a cliché.  It’s a deep, intense examination of what it takes to continue living.  Sure, we’re all bruised and broken, but we are also masterpieces.  Love.  Live.  Thank God.  Bless yourself, because if you “hold fast to the human inside of you, you will survive.” –Roussin
